Privacy, consent and personal information.

GEOACQ is accountable for personal information under its control. Privacy questions, access or correction requests, withdrawal requests and complaints may be directed to the person responsible for privacy at GEOACQ Inc. (Privacy Officer) at privacy@geoacq.com. GEOACQ is based in Milton, Ontario, Canada.

Privacy responsibilities include reviewing collection purposes, limiting access, maintaining proportionate safeguards, responding to privacy requests and complaints and reviewing retention or destruction of personal information. Legal rights and obligations may vary by province and by the circumstances of a particular interaction.

Website inquiries: name, organization, email address, optional phone number, inquiry category, sector, message, source page and information you choose to provide are used to assess, route and respond to the inquiry. Submitting an inquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.

GeoBot inquiries: conversation content, contact details you choose to provide, routing context and authorized file uploads may be used to prepare and route a requested handoff. After you open GeoBot, unfinished chat information may be kept in that tab’s session storage so a normal page refresh does not erase the conversation. The site does not create a GeoBot draft merely because a page is viewed. Uploaded files are separate from the browser draft; closing a tab or withdrawing analytics consent does not delete previously uploaded files. Contact the privacy address below about their removal.

Career applications: contact information, résumé, cover letter, screening responses and responses about eligibility for the role are used for recruitment and applicant communication. Application information is not used to subscribe applicants to marketing.

Security and operation: limited technical information and local browser storage may be used for abuse prevention controls, accessibility preferences, theme preferences, privacy preference persistence and functions a visitor expressly requests.

GEOACQ separates necessary website functions from optional cookies and services. Necessary browser storage supports site functions and remembers your preferences. Allow cookies permits the optional services currently available, including the embedded Google Calendar and its cookies. Deny cookies keeps those optional services off. Necessary storage stays on with either choice. Optional website analytics remains off regardless of your cookie choice. These choices do not subscribe you to marketing.

Necessary: browser storage may remember your privacy decision and notice version, accessibility or display preferences, form abuse prevention timing and temporary requested session functions. A material change to the notice version requires a fresh choice for optional services. When local storage is unavailable, an optional choice is held only in memory for the current page session. These controls support the operation, security and accessibility of the site and are not used to build advertising profiles.

Website analytics: currently off. Optional traffic measurement through Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager is disabled. You do not need to enable it to use the website. Allowing appointment booking does not turn analytics on. Any future activation will require appropriate notice and a separate visitor choice.

Appointment booking: Allow Google Calendar to load inside this website or open the booking page separately in a new tab. The calendar inside the site stays off until you allow it. Google's terms and privacy practices apply when you use the booking service.

Use Manage cookies to review individual categories or change your decision later. The same control is available in the site footer. Denying optional cookies and services does not prevent you from reading the site, submitting an inquiry or applying for a role.

When you provide personal information through an inquiry, GeoBot handoff or career form, the collection notice shown at that point explains the requested use. Consent for responding to an inquiry or processing an application is separate from consent for optional website analytics and separate from consent to receive promotional electronic messages.

GEOACQ does not treat a website inquiry or job application as an automatic subscription to marketing. Commercial electronic messages are handled separately and are subject to applicable Canadian anti-spam requirements, including consent or another lawful basis, sender identification and a functioning unsubscribe mechanism where required.

GeoBot permits supported project documents after a separate acknowledgement of the upload purpose. Selecting a file stores it using private file handling before the final handoff. This release does not send uploaded files to an AI model or automatically extract contact details using an additional AI call. Chat messages that you deliberately send to GeoBot are processed by a service supported by AI to respond to your request. The Contact form and direct email provide inquiry alternatives without chat. AI responses are preliminary and do not establish verified professional or project facts.

Documents attached to an inquiry are stored privately and used only to answer that inquiry.

Do not submit passwords, payment card information, government identification, health information, confidential third party material you are not authorized to share or information that is unnecessary for the inquiry.

Website fonts: this website loads typography from Google Fonts when a page opens. Requests for fonts are separate from optional website analytics and appointment booking and are not switched off by those choices. They involve a connection from your browser to Google's font delivery service.

GEOACQ uses service providers to host and secure the website, store private inquiry or application records, deliver email notifications and provide appointment scheduling when allowed or directly requested. Optional website analytics is currently off. Depending on the provider and configuration, information or technical request data may be processed outside your province or outside Canada and may therefore be subject to the laws of another jurisdiction.

GEOACQ limits use of service providers to functions reasonably required for the applicable purpose and does not intentionally sell personal information collected through this website.

Personal information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, for legitimate operational or recordkeeping needs or as required by law. Retention depends on the type of record and the status of the inquiry, recruitment process or business relationship. Information that is no longer required is intended to be securely deleted, destroyed or anonymized in accordance with applicable requirements.

Public inquiry and recruitment records use restricted administrative access. Résumé uploads and GeoBot inquiry attachments use private file handling rather than public file URLs. GEOACQ applies safeguards proportionate to the sensitivity and context of the information, while recognizing that no internet system can be guaranteed to be free of risk.

Subject to applicable law, you may ask what personal information GEOACQ holds about you, request access or correction, ask questions about how it was used or communicated, withdraw consent for future uses that depend on consent or make a privacy complaint. Withdrawal may not affect processing already lawfully completed and may not apply where retention or use is required or permitted by law.

Send requests to privacy@geoacq.com. GEOACQ may need reasonable information to verify identity before disclosing or changing a personal information record.

Where Québec private sector privacy requirements apply, GEOACQ provides notice of technology used to identify, locate or profile a person and the means available to activate such functions. For this public website, appointment booking inside the site is a choice controlled by the visitor and is off until allowed. Optional website analytics is currently off regardless of the booking choice.

GEOACQ does not use the public website to make decisions about visitors based exclusively on automated processing. The optional chat service assists with general responses. AI analysis of uploaded files is disabled in this release. Consequential project, service and recruitment decisions require human review.

GEOACQ's privacy governance is intended to address the life cycle of personal information, including collection purpose, access responsibility, safeguarding, retention and destruction, use of service providers, privacy incident response and complaint handling. Material changes to systems or electronic services involving personal information are subject to review of privacy risks and, where required by applicable law, a formal privacy impact assessment.

If you believe GEOACQ has not handled your personal information appropriately, contact the Privacy Officer first so the matter can be investigated and documented. You may also have the right to complain to the applicable federal or provincial privacy regulator.
